  • After submission, you may be invited to apply for the visa based on your score and occupation demand.

Factors That Influence Your Points Score

Your EOI points are calculated based on various criteria, including:

  • Age

  • Educational qualifications (Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s, or PhD)

  • English language proficiency

  • Skilled work experience (in Australia or overseas)

  • Partner’s skills or single status

  • NAATI accreditation (for translating/interpreting skills)

  • Completion of a Professional Year Program in Australia

Additional factors such as certified community language skills, Australian study experience, and regional study may also contribute to your score.

Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 190

To qualify for the Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190), you must:

  • Nominate an occupation from the Short-Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)

  • Receive a state or territory government nomination

  • Obtain a positive skills assessment from the relevant authority

  • Demonstrate Competent English proficiency

  • Meet the minimum points score stated in your invitation to apply

  • Fulfill all required health and character standards

Health Requirements

All applicants and included family members must complete a health examination, typically valid for 12 months, based on:

  • Your intended occupation in Australia

  • Any other countries you have lived in over the past five years

Character Requirements

Applicants must provide police clearance certificates from each country where they have resided for 12 months or more over the past 10 years, starting from age 16.

Proof of English Language Proficiency

You must demonstrate English language competency by achieving minimum scores in one of the following tests:

  • PTE Academic: At least 50 in each band

Including Family Members in Your Application

You can include the following family members in your visa application:

  • Your spouse or de facto partner
